#78. Mangú

Mangú, just in case you don’t know by now, is a Dominican dish made by mashing boiled green plantains, and seasoning with salt and butter. It’s quite commonly eaten for breakfast, along with cheese, eggs or salami.

The mangú is known for being quite belly-filling. You can ask the Dominican team who won the World Baseball Classic undefeated. They’ll tell you of the many wonders of the plantain.
